Description

Enjoy a wonderful guided tour of one of the largest cities of the ancient world: Teotihuacan, or "birthplace of the gods".
You will leave Mexico City aboard a bus, from which you can admire all places along the journey.
To start with, you will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, currently the world's second most visited Catholic sanctuary, located at the foot of the Tepeyac Hill, where the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego. From here, you will head onto Teotihuacan, a World Heritage Site.

This site had an extension of 20 square kilometers (7.7 sq mi), with more than 2,000 residential complexes and approximately 120,000 inhabitants. Here you can explore Avenue of the Dead, the main axis of the city, with a length of 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) and whose sides are occupied by the most important buildings. There is also the Pyramid of the Sun, with a height of 63 meters (207 ft), being the largest building of Teotihuacan; and the Pyramid of the Moon, one of the oldest buildings, with a height of 45 meters (148 ft). Quetzalpapalotl Palace was the residence of the main priests of Teotihuacan, and is located southwest of Moon Square. Be surprised by the Citadel, an architectural set west of the Avenue of the Dead, which includes the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent. After visiting this great old city, you will go to a crafts workshop, and then to enjoy a delicious lunch
