Description

Enjoy one of the most amazing shows in Mexico: the migration of the monarch butterfly. Monarch butterflies come from southeastern Canada and northeastern United States and traveling over 2,500 miles to Mexico. The monarch butterflies spend their winter hibernation clustered in small areas of the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve.
In this adventure you will visit the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in Michoacan, where you have a breakfast, after we will start a hike in the mountain to where the monarch butterfly colony is located. 
To end the day we will visit the Magical Town El Oro, State of Mexico, it known for its mining past, you will know its crafts and typical drink
The return to Mexico City is between 8:00 pm and 8:30 pm

We will pick you up at 7:00 am in your hotel or in the Auditorio Nacional
You will visit the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary and the magical town: El Oro. Upon arrival at the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary you will walk about two miles enjoying the coniferous forest, you can take a horseback ride or walk to admire different species of birds. We will walk to the place where the butterfly colony is located, where we will stay for 40 minutes. 
After you will enjoy the mexican food.


In El Oro, you visit the main tourist attractions.
Teatro Juarez: beautiful building is neoclassical, Moorish decor and carved wooden lounges. The stone facade, the side walls and the adornment of the interior belong to art nouveau.
Municipal Palace: a white building with turrets, built in the early twentieth century. At its entrance the mural "El genesis minero", painted in 1979 by Manuel D'Rugama to represent life in El Oro stands a hundred years ago: with elegant moneyed class on one side and on the other, the harsh reality of the miners.
